The England defender has only been at Eastlands for seven months but has pledged his future to Roberto Mancini's Champions League chasing side after they pummelled Burnley 6-1 at Turf Moor on Saturday evening. Lescott joined City in a £24million summer move from Everton which angered Toffees boss David Moyes, who felt the centre-back should have stayed at Goodison Park. But the 27-year-old, who is currently sidelined by a groin problem, insists the chance to play for affluent City in his peak years was an offer too good to turn down. "I really understand why David Moyes wanted me to stay, but I hope he understands why I wanted to leave," the former Wolves performer said in the Sunday Mirror. "There are no regrets. I don't look back on my decision. "This is where I wanted to be and I now want to be here for the rest of my career. I can't see me ever going."
