Lennon ponders squad selection

Lennon has been hit with a number of minor injury problems in recent weeks but Mo Bangura and Paddy McCourt are in contention to play against Caley Thistle after shaking off strains.

Celtic have played Real Madrid in Philadelphia followed by Ross County and Helsingborg away in the past two weeks, and Lennon will take account of who needs a rest ahead of the return clash with the Swedes as Celtic look to build on their 2-0 Champions League play-off win.

Lennon told Celtic TV's Huddle Online programme: "We had 11 players out going into the Ross County game and I need to see how many we'll have this time.

"We're hoping Mo and Paddy will come into the squad. There is still a doubt about Daryl Murphy and Stokesy (Anthony Stokes). Filip Twardzik could come into the squad as well.

"Joe Ledley has had a scan on his groin and he is a doubt, and Beram and Thomas are doubts with ankle problems."

Lennon added: "It's a really tough schedule for the players, the amount of travelling they have done in the last couple of weeks.

"We'll be forced to make changes but we will try to put out as strong a team as possible.

"But we will have one eye on Wednesday night as well. We will assess the squad on Friday and see who travels."
