Leicester City vs Burnley - Match Preview
Leicester City host Burnley this afternoon at the King Power Stadium and here you can find all the information regarding the fixture that you’ll ever need!
Our Prediction: Leicester City 2-0 Burnley
Reasoning: Despite their horrendous start to the season, the foxes are coming off of the back of the high of winning their first ever Champions League fixture in their midweek trip to Belgium.
With plenty of time to rest and record signing Islam Slimani getting minutes under his belt, you’d expect to see Leicester dominate the match and win comfortably.
On the flip side, Burnley have had a terrible start to the season, similar to Leicester as they sit just 1 place above them in the table in 15th.
The difference in quality between the two however is more apparent than ever, with Burnley registering just 7 shots on target so far this season, joint lowest with Stoke in the Premier League.
With Leicester City’s defensive record over the past season, despite it being shaky against both Hull City and Arsenal, you’d expect the Burnley attackers receive get very little chance of testing Kasper Schmeichel.

Managers Comments:
Claudio Ranieri:
“For us everything is new, I want to see how my players respond.”
“They told me they are okay and they must show this on the pitch. It’s a tough match against Burnley. We know very well that it will be a battle.”
“Burnley are very strong and very solid. They play 4-4-2 and are narrow. I’m very impressed with them this season.”
“Our first Champions League match was a good victory. Everyone was happy and now we focus on the Premier League.”
Shaun Dyce:
“I was certainly one lauding Leicester last season for the right reasons and will continue to do so.”
“What the manager has done is terrific but what the club has done there is terrific, in my opinion. I’ve looked at it from the outside-in for a number of years and I think the owners have done fantastic there.”

“I know some of the work they’ve done off the pitch, in the training ground etc, etc and they seem to have been building things for a long time. I think they’ve done it really, really well.”
