Latics face striker shortage

Wigan could be short of firepower up front when they host Stoke at the DW Stadium on Saturday.

Hugo Rodallega is still suspended, prompting club boss Roberto Martinez to bank on the fitness of Mauro Boselli who has been nursing a knee complaint.

At the back, Latics skipper Gary Caldwell may shake off a thigh injury but fellow defender Emmerson Boyce is likely to miss out again with a hamstring problem.

The Potters, meanwhile, will be without the suspended Marc Wilson. Wilson will serve a one-match ban after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season in last Saturday's 1-1 draw with Manchester City.
