Landon Donovan joins FOX Sports
The FOX Sports team just got a bit bigger on Friday -- by one person, to be exact.
United States men's national team and Los Angeles Galaxy forward Landon Donovan will join FOX Sports' lead soccer studio team -- Rob Stone, Eric Wynalda, Warren Barton and Brian McBride -- as a guest analyst next week to help cover the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Donovan, United States' all-time goals and assists leader, began his career with Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, scoring nine goals in 28 appearances. The former Premier League standout at Everton will preview his role on FOX Sports Live at 11 p.m. EST next Monday.
Champions League coverage resumes on FOX Sports 1 next Tuesday at 2 p.m. EST as English giants Chelsea battle FC Basel at St. Jakob-Park in Switzerland, while Wednesday's action features three-time champion Manchester United against Bayer Leverkusen.
Get excited! @landondonovan will join @FOXSports1's UEFA Champions League set as a guest analyst this coming Tuesday & Wednesday at 2pm ET!
