Promoted Norwich have made a positive impression on their return to the top flight but this result was a harsh reminder of the difficulties of life in the division. Lambert's side started the game well and had chances through Steve Morison and Elliott Bennett but later struggled to get into the game. Lambert said: "We do anyway - whether we win, lose or draw - but after any game like that you want to move on as quickly as you can. "More established Premier League teams than us will come to Manchester City and have a hard time. "The aim for us is we try to stay in the league. "We have come a long way in a two-year period and are now pitting our wits against some of the best players in the world."
