Greece coach Fernando Santos has called up AEK Athens midfielder Panagiotis Lagos for a March 26 Euro 2012 qualifier in Malta.

The 25-year-old winger, returning after a four-year absence, will also feature in a friendly home game against Poland three days later.

Greece has eight points from four games in Euro qualifying, trailing Group F leader Croatia by two points. Georgia, Israel, Latvia and Malta make up the group.

Santos said Friday he was not concerned with the current turmoil in Greek domestic football, brought on by fan violence and match-fixing allegations.

''Everyone is talking about everything else except the actual football,'' Santos said. ''My players are professionals and they know how to focus on the next game ... So I'm not worried at all.''
