Kuwait beat the Philippines 3-0 in the first leg of their World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
Looking to qualify to the World Cup finals for only the second time, Kuwait opened the scoring in the 16th minute through striker Yousef Al Sulaiman. Mesaed Neda added the second for Kuwait in the 68th before 28-year-old defender Fahad Al Ebrahim put the match out of reach with a goal six minutes from time.
The return leg is in the Philippines on Thursday.
