U.S. men's soccer coach Jurgen Klinsmann has a base salary of $2.5 million, a significant increase from what former coach Bob Bradley made.

The base salary for Klinsmann's three-year contract, which runs through Aug. 31, 2014, is included in the U.S. Soccer Federation's audited financial statements. The statements do not provide details on bonuses or other income, nor do they list Bradley's salary when he was fired July 28. According to the U.S. Soccer Federation's 2010 tax return, Bradley earned $818,244 for the year ending March 31, 2010, including $449,025 in base compensation and $345,000 in bonuses.

Klinsmann's salary first was reported by The Washington Post.
