Blackburn are close to signing former Sunderland defender Matthew Kilgallon.
The Championship club have been holding discussions with the player this week as manager Gary Bowyer reshapes his squad for the coming season.
The 29-year-old centre-back is available as a free agent following his release by the Black Cats.
Kilgallon spent three years at the Stadium of Light, but struggled with injury and found first-team opportunities hard to come by as a result.
