Kev understands Bolton delay

Davies, who will be 35 in March, is among a number of players - including the likes of Gary Cahill, Martin Petrov, Zat Knight and Gretar Steinsson - whose current deals expire next summer. But with Wanderers having had such a difficult start to the season and currently 18th in the table the striker, who has been at the Reebok Stadium since 2003, admits there are more pressing priorities. "There has been no discussion at the moment, but what will be, will be. Everyone knows what I feel about the club," he told the Bolton News. "It isn't something I'm really thinking about. I just want to move us out of this situation in the league. "When the club decide to open talks might depend on the league position. "If we are going to find ourselves in a relegation battle with a few games to go then that could have some bearing on whether the chairman (Phil Gartside) is going to be offering contracts. "But if we can get out of this position then it will help everyone. "We need to string some results together and we have certainly got the squad to do that."
