Sunderland target Kristoffer Nordfeldt would be interested in a move to England, the player's agent has confirmed.

Hereenveen goalkeeper Nordfeldt is thought to be among Sunderland's top targets as they seek a replacement for Simon Mignolet following his switch to Liverpool.

The Sweden international, who has attracted the interest of Liverpool in the past, is highly-regarded after impressing at Heerenveen last season and Paolo Di Canio is weighing up a move for the 24-year-old.

Nordfeldt's agent, Oliver Cabrera, says he has received no contact from Sunderland as yet, but admits the giant shot-stopper would be interested in a move to England.

"Sunderland have not made any contact with myself regards Kristoffer, but we would seriously consider the possibility of moving to the Premier League," Cabrera told Sky Sports.

"I would not be surprised if there was interest from Premier League clubs as Kristoffer was one of the best goalkeepers in Holland last season.

"He also wouldn't cost much as he has a release clause in his contract and England would be his top choice if he leaves Heerenveen."
