North Korea's Jong Tae Se has his biggest supporter in the stadium for the World Cup match against Brazil: his mother.

Ri Jong Gum was in the stands at Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg to watch her 26-year-old son play for North Korea.

Ri said during halftime that ``I'm very proud - I think he's playing extremely well.''

Ri had ``Win! Chollima team!'' written on her forehead and a blanket stitched with her son's name in Korean on her lap.

Asked about her son's tears during his country's anthem, she said he was overwhelmed by the honor of playing for North Korea in its first appearance at the World Cup since 1966.
