Jol: Murphy key for Cottagers
The influential and experienced midfielder is a doubt for Saturday afternoon's trip to the Liberty Stadium after damaging an ankle in last Monday's win over former club Liverpool. Murphy is set for a fitness test prior to kick-off and Jol is hoping for the best after admitting the 34-year-old is the key link between midfield and attack. The Fulham boss said in the Daily Star: "The link-up play for us is Danny. He is always involved. He has got the confidence to get the ball up, which is important. "I can't recall a lot of games without him, so I don't know. I think we played one game without him against a lesser team in Europe - against Runavik, maybe. "To play without Danny in the league, I don't know. But Dickson Etuhu is getting better. In the last two or three games he was probably one of the best. As a squad, we have to deal with it and we will. "I trust the players. Maybe our link-up play won't be 100 per cent, but we will have to play it forward earlier."
