Jill Biden and Chelsea Clinton will be part of a U.S. delegation heading to Germany this weekend to cheer on the women's national soccer team in the World Cup finals.

The White House says the vice president's wife and Clinton, as well as the U.S. ambassador to Germany, will attend Sunday's match between the U.S. and Japan. The U.S. is aiming for its third World Cup title.

The women's team catapulted itself into the national spotlight with a thrilling come from behind win last weekend over Brazil.

Biden, along with husband Vice President Joe Biden, traveled to South Africa last summer to attend the men's World Cup. But the vice president will have to miss the women's tournament in order to stay in Washington for negotiations on the nation's debt.
