Jedinak feels safe after attack

Crystal Palace skipper Miles Jedinak insists he does not feel vulnerable when playing football following the attack on Chris Kirkland.

The Sheffield Wednesday keeper was attacked by a Leeds United fan during their clash on Friday night, but Jedinak does not feel as if his safety is under threat.

"I don't think so, not in my position anyway but possibly as a goalkeeper," he said. "You shouldn't have to think about it, things like fans running on to the pitch and doing things like that.

"It's disappointing that the main talking point (from that game) is that the man's run onto the pitch and pushed him (Kirkland) in the face.

"He'll just have to crack on. He can't think about too much and allow it to affect his game.

"I'm sure the guy who did it will get dealt with."
