Nicolas Fedor scored in the second half on Wednesday as Venezuela salvaged a 1-1 draw with Japan in a friendly.

Fedor took a cross from substitute Josef Martinez and beat Japan goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima from close range in the 62nd minute to pull the visitors even at Sapporo Dome.

Japan opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Yasuhito Endo beat the Venezuela goalkeeper with a right-footed shot from 15 meters.

Manchester United's Shinji Kagawa had a glorious opportunity to put Japan ahead in the 75th minute but missed an open net from close range.
