Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association after appearing to punch Wigan forward Shaun Maloney during a Premier League match.
The incident, which happened late in Chelsea's 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, wasn't seen by match officials but was caught on video.
The Serbia right back has until Tuesday afternooon to respond to the charge. If he is found guilty, he faces a three-match ban - starting with Chelsea's FA Cup semifinal match against Tottenham on Sunday.
