Israel holds Georgia 0-0 in Euro 2012 qualifying
Georgia was held to a 0-0 draw by Israel in qualifying for the 2012 European Championship on Tuesday.
Georgia was in control for most of the match in front of 52,000 fans at Boris Paichadze National Stadium, but had few scoring chances.
Israel has five points and Georgia has two in Group F. Malta, Latvia, Greece and Croatia are also in the group.
''It was a good result,'' Israel goalkeeper Dudu Aouate told Israeli TV. ''We played well, very organized.''
Georgia striker Vladimir Dvalishvili had a chance in the 35th minute but missed the target. Teammate David Siradze volleyed over the crossbar in the 62nd.
Israel substitute Eran Zehavi's free kick in the 65th was saved by goalkeeper Nukri Revishvili.
