Injured AC Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi thinks he will be back playing before the end of the season.
The veteran forward was expected to miss the rest of the season after undergoing an operation on torn knee ligaments in November.
Milan leads Serie A by six points and is through to the knockout rounds of the Champions League.
The ANSA news agency quotes the 37-year-old Inzaghi as saying "I hope to be back before the end of the season. I knew that we had a good squad and that we could do well."

Before the injury, Inzaghi came off the bench to score two goals against Real Madrid in the Champions League to take his European tally to 70.
