Inter denies holding talks with Guardiola

Inter Milan have denied speculation they have been in contact with Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola about becoming their new manager.

And president Massimo Moratti insists he has "no idea" where Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez is after he too was linked with Inter.

Guardiola has been in Brescia during the international break, meeting with old friends he knew during his time at the Serie B club.

The 40-year-old's future is unclear and reports in Italy suggested Guardiola could become the successor to Claudio Ranieri, who took over in September.

But Inter president Massimo Moratti insists he has not been in touch, saying: "Guardiola? Absolutely not. Some people are asking me about this, but we have not met each other."

Tevez, who is in Argentina amidst ongoing talks between his representatives and Manchester City over his future, is also rumoured to be a target for Inter.

Tevez has not played for Roberto Mancini's side since their Carling Cup win over Birmingham in September after being fined two weeks' wages by City following an incident at the Champions League tie with Bayern Munich.

But Moratti has also denied the link with the 27-year-old, saying: "I honestly don't know where he is, probably in South America."
