Ince relishing Man City clash

Ince played in six Manchester derby games during his time at United, including a famous victory for the Reds at Maine Road in 1993 when they fought back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 with a double from Eric Cantona and a goal from Roy Keane. A year later, he also helped Sir Alex Ferguson's side beat City 5-0 at Old Trafford in his final season before leaving to join Inter Milan. Ince experienced defeat against City just once during his six years at United - a 5-1 hammering at Maine Road in 1989. That loss still wrangles with Ince and the Notts boss would welcome a little revenge when Roberto Mancini's big-spending Premier League title chasers go to Meadow Lane in the fourth round of the cup on Sunday. "I had some good times with United against City and we only lost once, that was my second game for the club," said Ince. "I remember we beat Millwall 5-0 at home in my first game and I thought it was easy, then we went to Maine Road and got beat 5-1. "It was probably one of the worst days of my life, and I never want to feel like that again. I couldn't leave my hotel room in Manchester for a few days. That was the only time we got beat by City when I played. "If we were to beat them I would get the same buzz I did when I beat them with United. "It would be fantastic. First and foremost, we have got to go out and do ourselves proud." Notts have beaten City in the FA Cup once before. The Magpies were in the old Division Two when they famously won 1-0 at Meadow Lane in a fifth-round tie in February 1991 - Gary Lund scoring the goal to write his name into club folklore.
