Hunt set for foot operation
The Irishman has been struggling with the problem since February and his presence has been sorely missed by the relegation-threatened Tigers. Iain Dowie has decided to send Hunt for surgery to find out the extent of the injury with reports suggesting he may have played his last game of the season. "He's got a sharp pain in his foot again and we need to have a look at it in an operation," Dowie told the Hull Daily Mail. "If he needs a procedure then it's going to be a lot longer but if everything is fine and we can move on, it might not be that long. "We should get a bit of clarity on Tuesday morning." Meanwhile, Dowie has vowed to wield the axe for next weekend's trip to Birmingham after the humiliating 4-1 defeat to relegation rivals Burnley. "There will be a few changes next week," added Dowie. "Where we are in the league, I cannot allow that to go by and say it is acceptable because it is not. "My players should be embarrassed. What I want now is a display with cojones. "I would rather go to Birmingham and be a lion for a day than a sheep for the rest of the season. "I'll be looking closely round the dressing room on Monday and Tuesday. It won't happen looking down at your shoes or trying to hide in the corner. "It's a massive task given the number of wins we've got all season but it can be done."
