Hunt eyes weekend return for Wolves
The Republic of Ireland midfielder played in Wolves' colours for the first time on Tuesday night when the reserves went down to a 2-1 defeat against Wigan at Molineux. It was Hunt's first game since completing his £4million summer move from Hull City. The winger has been sidelined since February with a foot injury. The 29-year-old played 45 minutes and is now hoping to make an appearance at the weekend. Hunt told Sky Sports News: "I feel okay, better than I thought I would be. "I felt a little niggle, but I felt better so you never know, hopefully I might be involved Saturday if the manager picks me. "Generally, I feel okay. You need the adrenaline rush in the first team to get yourself going." McCarthy's side are in need of a boost following four straight defeats leaving the club in the bottom three. The Wolves faithful are hoping for a spark from somewhere and Hunt could be the man to provide it. "We have good enough players to make things happen and come Saturday I'll add something to the team," he added.
