Hungary beats San Marino 3-0 in qualifier

Hungary remained third in Group E of European Championship qualifying following a 3-0 win over San Marino on Tuesday.

Zoltan Liptak put the visitors in front in the 40th minute, Imre Szabics doubled the lead in the 49th and Vladimir Koman sealed the win in the 83rd.

World Cup runner-up the Netherlands leads the group with a perfect 18 points and Sweden is next with 15 after a 5-0 rout of Finland in the other group match Tuesday.

Hungary has nine points and San Marino remained last with zero.

San Marino could at least console itself that it performed better than in its 8-0 drubbing from Hungary in Budapest in October.
