Hughes: Sid has a point to prove
Sidwell returns to Villa Park just weeks after leaving the Midlands outfit following a frustrating and injury plagued two-and-a-half seasons with the club. Since then he has made three starts and a substitute appearance for the Cottagers and Hughes is looking for a bold showing from the 28-year-old against his former club. Hughes said: "There is a little of him having a point to prove. When he came here, that was mentioned. "He has frustrations because his career when he was at Reading was excellent and he was playing every week and not missing games. "He got a fantastic move to Chelsea and played quite a few games for them, but moved to Villa because he felt he wanted more game time. "Unfortunately he was frustrated by injuries. Now it's a case of getting his career back on track."
