Howe hoping to add soon
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has revealed that he is close to finalising deals for two new arrivals.
The Cherries are not expecting too much movement on the transfer front, despite readying themselves to take a step up in class.
Howe guided his troops to a second-place finish in League One last season and will be looking to cement them within the Championship ranks next term.
He is, however, prepared to keep faith with those who have impressed in recent years.
Ian Harte and Elliott Ward have been drafted in to add valuable experience to the defensive ranks, but Howe will not be making too many more additions.
He told the Daily Echo: "You just don't know what is going to happen in football.
"You can say you are close to finishing but you never know what is around the corner. I don't envisage too many more - maybe one, a maximum of two."
On the backing he has received in his efforts to bolster Bournemouth's ranks, Howe added: "Whenever you sign a player, you are grateful to the people above to make it happen and Maxim Demin, Eddie Mitchell and the board have all been supportive of us.
"With the financial fair play rules and restrictions in place, it has been difficult to manoeuvre and there have been a few hurdles to overcome to enable it to happen so we are very appreciative."
