Honduras through with Canada rout
Honduras were one of five teams to book a place in the final round of the World Cup's CONCACAF qualifying zone with a tremendous 8-1 home win over Canada.
In the last round of fixtures in the third stage, Honduras moved top of Group C and eliminated Canada.
The United States, Jamaica, Costa Rica and Panama also progressed to the final round, with Mexico having already qualified two rounds ago.
Jerry Bengston and Carlo Costly each scored hat-tricks and Mario Martinez was on target twice, while Iain Hume scored Canada's consolation.
Also in Group C, Panama qualified with a 1-1 draw in Cuba.
Cuba had already been eliminated but surprisingly took the lead through Adalberto Gomez in the 38th minute. Nelson Barahona equalised 14 minutes from time.
Guatemala's 3-1 defeat by the USA meant they missed out on the final stage on away goals as Jamaica hammered Antigua & Barbuda 4-1 in Kingston.
Dane Richards recorded a brace and Demar Phillips and Nyron Nosworthy added one each for the Reggae Boyz, while Quinton Griffith scored for Antigua & Barbuda, who ended the stage winless.
In Group B, Costa Rica sealed their place by thrashing 10-man Guyana 7-0.
Randall Brenes and Alvaro Saborio each scored twice, while Cristian Gamboa, Cristian Bolanos and Celso Borges were also on target.
Guyana defender Walter Moore was sent off five minutes after the break.
