Cahill was sent off in the 4-1 Premier League defeat at Arsenal last weekend and Bolton appealed against the defender's red card. But the Football Association upheld referee Stuart Atwell's original decision, meaning Cahill will miss their next three matches. "Gaz has been a big player for us and is obviously an important part of the defence but whoever comes in has got a lot of experience and has played a lot of games in the top flight," the USA international told the Bolton Evening News. "That's the way football goes because you have got to shrug off the setbacks. "We have got to make sure we really dig deep and show how strong our squad is."
