Bolton's traveling supporters found a famous fan in their midst when injured midfielder Stuart Holden joined them to watch a vital Premier League game against Blackburn.

The United States international sat among the fans in the away end at Ewood Park on Tuesday to see his team move off the bottom of the standings with a 2-1 win.

Holden, who is out of action until April with a serious knee injury, tweeted that it was a ''pretty awesome experience in the Away end with some incredible fans! Great banter, noise, and support!!''

But after Bolton ended a run of five straight losses, the 26-year-old American insisted he wasn't a lucky charm and that ''the lads played brilliant!!''
