Hoffenheim has signed Germany reserve goalkeeper Tim Wiese from Bundesliga rival Werder Bremen and Switzerland striker Eren Derdiyok from Bayer Leverkusen for next season.

Wiese comes on a free transfer. Hoffenheim did not disclose the fee it paid Leverkusen for Derdiyok. Both were signed on four-year deals.

Hoffenheim coach Markus Babbel was keen to obtain both players as he rebuilds the team hoping to secure a place in a European competition.
