Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez will spearhead Mexico's attack in upcoming friendlies against Chile and Poland.
Hernandez missed Mexico's last friendly against the United States this month after a concussion but was included in the 23-man squad chosen by coach Jose Manuel De La Torre on Wednesday.
The concussion, suffered while training with Manchester United during the club's summer tour of the US, sidelined Hernandez for the start of the Barclays Premier League season. Hernandez made his first appearance of the season on Monday, coming off the bench in Manchester United's 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
Mexico, ranked No. 20 in the world in FIFA's latest world ranking, plays Poland on Sept. 2 in Warsaw and faces Chile two days later in Barcelona.
Hernandez is one of nine players currently playing with foreign clubs who are named in the squad, with fellow attackers Pablo Barrera (West Ham United) and Giovani dos Santos (Tottenham) also playing in England.
