Henderson out for 6-8 weeks, could miss Euro 2016

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is set to miss the rest of the season and possibly the European Championship for England after hurting his knee in a Europa League match against Borussia Dortmund.
Liverpool said Henderson sustained ligament damage to his left knee, and is likely to be out for between six to eight weeks.
England coach Roy Hodgson selects his squad for Euro 2016 on May 12. Henderson was expected to be one of the midfielders named in the 23-man group.

Liverpool said Henderson does not require surgery following the injury sustained in the first half of the 1-1 draw at Dortmund in the first leg of the quarterfinals.
