Heinze wants summer spending

Marseille full-back Gabriel Heinze has questioned the club's recruitment plans for this summer.

OM president Jean-Claude Dassier does not expect the club to be big players in the transfer market after spending heavily last year in strikers Loic Remy and Andre-Pierre Gignac.

Heinze believes regular investment is required to take Marseille forward and even suggested Dassier's stance has prompted him to question his future at the Stade Velodrome.

The Argentinian told RMC: "I do not agree with him.

"At Marseille, we must recruit good players and, inevitably, good players are expensive.

"You can always take a couple of players on a free but you should not base your recruitment on this principle."

Heinze, who joined Marseille from Real Madrid in 2009, added on his own future: "It's 50/50, I have not yet made a decision but I want to do what's best for me and for the club.

"I need to know in my head if I can still give 100% for OM."
