Hart: Capello never knew my name
England goalkeeper Joe Hart said new coach Roy Hodgson is a better communicator than his predecessor, Fabio Capello, because he at least knows his name.
The Manchester City netminder said Capello and his fellow Italian-speaking staff never addressed him properly in the four years working together.
"Yes, they did call me John," he told The Sun. "I used to correct them, but in the end I just ended up saying it to myself, 'My name's Joe.'"
Hart, 25, said working with Hodgson in the buildup to Euro 2012 has been a refreshing change.
"He's brought something new," he said. "I've been working Italian-wise for a few years with Fabio and [City manager] Roberto Mancini, but now there's an English feel. It's definitely different, and the communication is much better."
