With the problems at the back now easing, Grant is looking to help Carlton Cole add to his goal tally after his brace against Manchester United in midweek. "We are looking for attacking coach. With Wally, I had a few weeks to interview people. Someone suggested Wally and I saw he was a good solution. He's done a good job," Grant told the Daily Star. "All my staff have the freedom to speak and they are - but the decision about everything is mine. I have a good team. The staff are not just good but passionate to be better. "We are building something here and to beat Manchester United was a good step forward. The players showed that they can do things. This was very important for us. "Some players, when they don't perform well, are disappointed and they say some things - but this is kept within the club. I don't deal with them through the media. What I say to players I say to them." He added: "For Carlton now the most important thing is that he scored two goals because he didn't start the season so well. "The last few weeks he as been working very hard. For a striker, the most important thing is to score goals - and I believe he will score more goals. "The confidence he has will be good for him and the rest of the team. I don't want to sell him in the January transfer window because we don't want to lose our players."
