Hamburg signs Norway's Per Ciljan Skjelbred

Hamburger SV has signed Norwegian midfielder Per Ciljan Skjelbred from Rosenborg on a contract that starts at the beginning of next year.

But the German club says it will try to have Skjelbred move already in time for the start of the Bundesliga season in August.

The Norwegian season ends in November.

Skjelbred's contract starts Jan. 1, 2012 and runs until June 30, 2015.
