Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin has admitted talks are ongoing about a possible move to Chelsea, but says he is happy to stay at the San Siro.

Guarin's agent revealed earlier this month that Chelsea were leading the chase to sign the Colombian midfielder in the January transfer window, with the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City also keeping tabs on the player.

The 27-year-old, speaking after Inter's 1-0 win over AC Milan, revealed he has not spoken to Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and that he is in no rush to leave Inter.

"There is a negotiation ongoing and I cannot deny it," said Guarin. "I have not spoken with Mourinho, but my agent did it.

"Now I just think of Inter and I want to stay here, we'll see what happens"

Inter Milan's general director Marco Fassone confirmed there are a number of clubs chasing Guarin, but insisted they hope to keep the former Porto man.

"Guarin has great talent and a lot of teams like him," Fassone told Radio Rai. "Mazzarri has commended him, about the market we will see if anything happens and we will strengthen the team.

"Currently, however, on Guarin there are only rumors: he is one of our champions and we keep him tight."
