Bordeaux playmaker Yoann Gourcuff has been ruled out of Saturday's game against Valenciennes in the French league because of a groin injury.

Gourcuff picked up his injury during France's 1-1 draw against Ireland in a World Cup playoff on Wednesday.

Midfielder Gregory Sertic and defenders Henrique and Franck Jurietti will also miss the match, the club said on its Web site.

Defending champion Bordeaux leads the French standings with 25 points from 12 games.
