Gotze could return for Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze could return to action in the Bundesliga match at Wolfsburg after two months on the sidelines with a groin injury.
The 19-year-old has returned to full training after undergoing surgery, and coach Jurgen Klopp - who previously predicted the player may feature in the team's last five or six games of the season - has hinted he could be back involved.
"We want to use Mario's qualities again this season, but we will not take any risks," he said.
"Mario is feeling good, but he has got to train intensively to get back into a competitive condition and of course that is pretty tiring for him.
"Therefore, we will have to pick his appearances."
A short run-out could therefore be on the agenda in view of Wednesday's clash with Bayern Munich - a match which could determine the destiny of the title.
"If he plays on Wednesday, then it will be because he is ready to play and not just because it is Bayern," Klopp added at a press conference.
Jakub Blaszczyowski is the man most likely to lose his place when Gotze returns, although that question may not be posed just yet.
What Klopp is concerned about is at least maintaining a three-point advantage over Bayern at the top of the table ahead of next Wednesday's showdown, and that is not going to be simple.
"They are quick to attack you," he said of Saturday's opposition. "We know what we are up against, but we still intend to get something out of the game.
Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath could do his former club a big favor by beating Dortmund tomorrow, but his priority is leading the Wolves into Europe next season.
"It would also be a big help to ourselves if we help Bayern," he told the Bild newspaper.
In-form striker Patrick Helmes is a doubt with a muscular problem which forced him to end training early on Thursday.
