Godoy Cruz, Lanus close in on Velez

Lucas Castro scored a last-minute goal to earn Gimnasia a 2-2 draw and deny Godoy Cruz a chance to share the lead in the Argentine Clausura tournament Monday.

Ruben Martinez and Mariano Donda gave Godoy Cruz a 2-1 lead after Alejandro Capurro scored early for Gimnasia.

Godoy Cruz now has 28 points in 16 matches, two behind leader Velez Sarsfield in the same number of matches.

In Monday's other match, Lanus defeated Huracan 3-0 to improve to 29 points. Diego Valeri, Silvio Romero and Guido Pizarro scored first half goals. Lanus has also played 16 games with three rounds remaining.
