Godoy Cruz goes joint top after draw

BY foxsports • May 21, 2011

Leonardo Sigali was both hero and villain as Godoy Cruz moved level with Velez Sarsfield at the top of the Clausura after they drew 1-1 at Banfield.

Jorge Achucarro gave the hosts the lead after 16 minutes before Sigali levelled with a little more than half an hour left.

However, the defender was then given a straight red card 10 minutes to leave his side playing the remaining 20 minutes with just 10 men.

Bottom side Newell's Old Boys claimed just their third win of the season in a
match against All Boys which saw both teams finish with 10 men.

Rolando Schiavi scored the only goal after 27 minutes but there was drama in the final minute when both Ignacio Fideleff and Juan Gigliotti, of All Boys,
were given straight red cards.
