Georgia beats Malta 1-0 in Euro 2012 qualifier
Second-half substitute David Siradze scored a late winner on Friday to secure a 1-0 victory for Georgia over Malta in their qualifying match for the 2012 European Championship.
Siradze headed home a pass from the right to beat goalkeeper Justin Haber a minute into injury time.
The hosts dominated the game but had trouble making the breakthrough until Siradze struck.
In Malta's one clear scoring opportunity, Andre Schembri failed to beat Nukri Revishvili in a one-on-one situation in the 79th minute.
Georgia has five points from three games in Group F. Malta remains bottom on zero points.
Croatia, Israel, Latvia and Greece are also in the group.
