The French first-division matches between Lens and Caen and Lille and Nancy were postponed on Sunday because of heavy snowfalls in the north of France.

Lens' match against Caen had already been moved from Saturday to Sunday, but French league officials postponed it again after more snow.

No new date has been set for the two matches, which were scheduled for the 18th round.

All three Premier League matches in England were also off on Sunday. They were Chelsea vs. Manchester United, Blackpool vs. Tottenham and West Bromwich vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In Italy, Sunday's derby between Sampdoria and Genoa was also postponed due to heavy snow on the pitch at Ferraris stadium.

Referee Emidio Morganti decided the pitch was unplayable after inspecting the surface.

Sampdoria is eighth in the Serie A standings with 23 points. Genoa is two places and two points behind its crosstown rival.

No date has yet been set for the rescheduled match.
