Forlan cool on transfer talk
Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan has been around long enough to know that transfer gossip counts for little.
The experienced striker regularly finds himself at the centre of speculation, especially around this time of year.
With the transfer window set to re-open on January 1, the rumour mill is starting to kick into overdrive.
Forlan is just one of those to be dragged into the debate, with his future at Vicente Calderon called into question.
It has been suggested that a host of club's from across Europe, including a number from England, are weighing up a New Year raid for his services.
The Uruguayan frontman is reading little into such reports, though, and insists that he remains fully focused on his duties at Atletico.
"They are always talking. It started a couple of years ago and maybe then you start thinking where am I going to go, but they are just rumours," Forlan told Sky Sports News after picking up the Golden Ball, an award recognising him as the best player at the 2010 World Cup.
"I see the news, as everyone else sees the news, but I am trying not to think about it."
