Foley eyes long Wolves career
The 25-year-old right-sided Irishman is only 12 months into a four-year contract he signed last summer and is determined to pledge himself to the Molineux cause. Wolves have all but survived relegation from the Premier League this season and Foley wants to remain at the club in the top-flight for the long term. "I've been here for almost three years now and I've another three years ahead of me," he said in the Birmingham Mail. "I'll be here for the long term, definitely. I've had a great three seasons here so far. "I was lucky enough to get the Fans' Player of the Year award last year and I'm looking forward to many more seasons here because it is such a great club with a great set-up and you couldn't ask for any more as a player. "Wolves will get my best years which they always say are in your late 20s. "I'd rather be 23 or 24 for as long as possible, but I'm kicking on now. I'm still only 25, though, so I have got plenty of years left in me. "I'd like to go on playing for as long as I can. I wouldn't like to retire earlier than I have to. "You read about so many footballers who don't know what to do with themselves when they retire. There are only so many games of golf you can play. "Without a shadow of doubt I'll be at Wolves for a long time. I've enjoyed it here. "Next season, providing we are still in the Premier League, is going to be a big test for us - bigger than this year - and I want to be a part of that." Wolves are currently clear of Hull and West Ham in the table but will want to ensure their safety with results against Blackburn, Portsmouth and Sunderland.
