Fletcher boost for Wolves

The Scotland forward hobbled out of Wanderers' 3-0 hammering at Stoke with a knee injury. With Kevin Doyle sidelined until the final two games at least and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake also struggling, Mick McCarthy can ill-afford to lose another forward player. But the manager told Wolves' website: "The injury to Fletch doesn't seem to be as bad as it could have been. He'll be monitored but has a good chance of being available for Sunday's trip to Birmingham." Medical chief Steve Kemp said: "Steven jarred the knee and was re-assessed. Fortunately there is no significant damage but the knee does need time to settle." Ebanks-Blake, meanwhile, faces a battle to be fit for St Andrews as he continues to fight a hamstring injury.
