Fleetwood v Port Vale preview
Team news ahead of Tuesday's League Two clash between Fleetwood Town and Port Vale at Highbury Stadium.
Jon Parkin will hope to retain his place in the starting XI when in-form Fleetwood host Port Vale in League Two.
The burly striker, scorer of a hat-trick in his previous game against Morecambe, was substituted having being booked during the first half of Saturday's 1-0 win over Northampton.
"Every time Jon went for a challenge the referee felt there was a decision to be made and they were going against the big man," manager Micky Mellon told Fleetwood's official website.
"I felt that, having already been booked, there could have been another yellow at any time. We had an able substitute ready in Steven Gillespie and the decision was a no brainer."
The Cod Army head into the game second in the table and level on points with third-placed Vale. They have a clean bill of health with the exception of long-term victim Anthony Barry (knee).
Port Vale manager Micky Adams is considering changing his starting XI for the first time in eight matches against Fleetwood after being impressed by his substitutes at the weekend.
Vale trailed 1-0 at Plymouth on Saturday before the introduction of striker Ben Williamson and midfielder Ryan Burge quickly saw Adams' side overturn their half-time deficit. Left-sided player Rob Taylor also made an impact as a late replacement.
Ahead of Tuesday night's trip to the north west, Adams said: "I didn't think we got going in the first half [at Plymouth]. We looked a bit lethargic and were chasing shadows a lot of the time, but I knew we could get better and so it proved. I was really pleased with the second half - that was more like it.
"The substitutes all made a big impact and have given me food for thought. It's important the players on the fringe of the team don't switch off.
"I've not changed the side for seven games, but that doesn't mean to say the other players are not in my thoughts."
Defender Gareth Owen and midfielder Ryan Lloyd were unused subs against Plymouth and will be hoping they are involved at Highbury Stadium.
