American striker Robbie Findley has received international clearance to sign with second-tier English club Nottingham Forest on a free transfer.
The 25-year-old Findley, who opted to leave Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake last year at the end of his contract, has secured a visa that allows him to play in England.
The striker has signed a 2 1/2-year contract with Forest, which is in fifth place in the League Championship standings.
Findley was a member of the U.S. World Cup squad in South
Africa, starting three of the team's four matches.
