FIFA president Sepp Blatter has told football's 200-plus nations that he will seek re-election for another four-year term.

Blatter closed the annual FIFA Congress on Thursday telling delegates he would stand again in 2011, and continue putting his ``strength, energy, experience and passion'' into football if they wanted him.

His offer was met with applause.

The 74-year-old Blatter is due for re-election at a congress scheduled next June in FIFA's home city of Zurich, Switzerland.

Blatter was elected FIFA president in 1998 and won a fierce re-election fight in 2002 before being returned unopposed in 2007.

Under the Swiss official's leadership, FIFA has built up reserves of $1 billion (?828,000) thanks to the World Cup's commercial success.
